Please check the date, time, and session of your presentation carefully as we have made many changes.
No further change will be made to this final program. Please prepare your presentation accordingly.
The conference program consists of two tutorial sessions (ICEMS2017 Tutorial One, and ICEMS2017 Tutorial Two),
eight invited keynote speeches, and 90 sessions of oral and poster presentations. Each oral presentation has 15
minutes (including 12 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for question). Each poster session lasts for one and
half hours, and the size for each poster presentation is one A0 page, i.e. 841mmx1189mm. A poster template can
be downloaded from ICEMS2017_Poster_Temp_36x48.ppt.

The deadline for early bird registration and full paper submission has now been extended for one week,
i.e. the new deadline will be 7 July 2017. Because of the very tight schedule, there will be no further
extension. As we are compiling the program, it is strongly advised that the authors should register
immediately in order to get your papers included in the program for presentation.
The information of 7 keynote speeches, including the titles, abstracts, and biographies of speakers, is now
available at Keynotes and Tutorials.
5 June 2017 -
Two tutorial sessions on linear induction machines and permanent magnet AC machines,
respectively, will be run in parallel during 13:45 - 17:00 on Friday 11 August 2017. To find

After some efforts, we have finally got the conference website ready for full paper submission.

Please go to Digest & Full Paper Submission, and follow carefully the instructions for full paper
preparation and submission. Note that we have updated the full paper template and the copyright
form, and included a full paper template for LaTex users. Please use the new template when
prepare your full papers.

The digest submission was formally closed on 10 April 2017. After a peer review process,
the review results were announced during 8-12 May 2017.
If you have not received the review result(s) of your submitted digest(s), please contact
immediately the Technical Program Committee by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The authors of accepted digests are invited to prepare their full papers taking into account
the reviewers' comments, for inclusion in the conference proceedings and uploading into the
IEEE Xplore database. Selected papers will be recommended to IEEE Transactions on Industry
Applications. To submit your full paper(s), please go to Digest & Full Paper Submission.
The deadline for full paper submission and earlybird registration is 1 July 2017.
Every paper must be registered for presentation by a presenting author. One full registration is
entitled for presentation of one paper with an option of up to two (2) additional papers (extra fees
apply). One student registration is entitled for presentation of one paper with no additional paper
option. Details of registration options can be found at the Registration webpage.
Please check the visa requirement for visiting Australia at http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visi/,
and contact the conference organizer by email to email@example.com as soon as
possible should you need a letter to support your visa application since it may take up to 8 weeks
to get a visa. The following information is required for the invitation letter: full name, title
(Prof., Dr., Mr., etc.), date of birth, passport number (if available), affiliation, contact address
(postal address, telephone number, and email address), and paper title(s) and IDs. If you also
need a hardcopy, please let us know.

The 20th International Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems (ICEMS2017) will be held on 11-14 August 2017
in Sydney, Australia. This conference aims to provide a forum for researchers, scientists, and engineers to present
their latest R&D achievements and to exchange useful information and experiences in the field of electrical machines
and systems. Started in Beijing, China, in 1987, ICEMS is a regular annual event with sponsorships from the China
Electrotechnical Society (CES), Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers (KIEE), and Institute of Electrical Engineers
of Japan Industry Applications Society (IEEJ-IAS), along with the technical co-sponsorship from the IEEE Industry
Applications Society (IEEE-IAS).
Members of the international scientific and engineering communities interested in recent developments in this
field are invited to attend the Conference and contribute to its technical sessions. All presented papers will
be included in the conference proceedings and submitted to the database of IEEExplore. Selected papers will be
recommended to IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications.
